The 2025 Harvest in Friuli: Talis Wine Reflects on the Latest Vintage

How did the 2025 harvest go in Friuli? Talis Wine reflects on the vintage through the words of Mauro Cencig, covering the climate, grape quality, and expectations for the new wines.

Every harvest is a story in itself. And the 2025 harvest in Friuli-Venezia Giulia has brought Talis Wine a vintage that promises to be interesting, the result of a hot but not extreme summer, with marked temperature fluctuations in September that favored the aromatic concentration of the grapes.

In the Colli Orientali region, the harvest took place under optimal conditions. The Friulano, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon grapes arrived at the winery in excellent condition, with a balance of sugar and acidity that bodes well for the wines to come.

“It was a harvest that required our full attention and precise timing,”, says Mauro Cencig. “The grapes were clean and complex, a sign that our work in the vineyard has paid off.”

For the members of Talis Wine, the harvest is never just an operational task: it is the moment when a whole year’s work is assessed, and when we begin to envision future wines. The first tastings from the tanks confirm a vintage with good character, with the whites already standing out for their freshness and aromatic profile.
